"甄試入學缺額多"

今年甄試入學結果已經於日前公布，錄取率創下歷年來新高，共有4萬4436人獲得分發。探究其缺額的原因，是因為重覆錄取的狀況比往年嚴重。不過整體而言，申請人較往年減少也是事實。

參加甄試的學生最多可選填五個志願。如果學生重榜，其它已填的志願則由其它備取名額替補。填寫志願的替補數如果不足，就會發生一些系所有缺額的情況發生。

這次國立大學全部加起來也有約八百個的缺額，主要是各學校大多有增招的情況。這些缺額預計將會併入至今年指考的名額裡，對於推甄未被選上的學生而言，也算是一大福音。

(Education) Many Spots Unfilled from College Admission through Selection

The results from college admission through selection were recently released where the acceptance rate hit a record high, with a total of 44,436 students being admitted into a college. The considerable number of unfilled spots can be attributed to the comparatively higher number of overlapping admissions this year. That said, the decrease in applicant numbers is also a factor.

Students who apply for college admission through selection are allowed to put down five majors and schools of their choice. If the student gets accepted into more than one college, then their place(s) at the college(s) they ended up not choosing will be filled by other candidates on the waiting list. In the event that the number of spots available exceeds the number of people on the waiting list, some spots will be left unfilled.

Altogether, the number of unfilled spots at public universities amounted to some 800 this year, which is mainly due to a general increase in the number of spots offered by universities. These unfilled spots are expected to be combined with the spots available through this years Advanced Subjects Test, which will benefit those who failed to gain admission through selection.
