"臺灣12間大學擠進亞洲頂尖大學名單"
英國的高等教育資訊供應企業QS發表了本年度的前百大亞洲大學，其中有12間來自臺灣。
今年表現最好的幾所學校分別為台大（第21名）、交大（29名）、清大（33名）和成大（36名）。後面接著臺北醫學大學（46名）、陽明大學（49名）、臺科大（51名）、中央大學（59名）、中山大學（73名）、臺師大（75名）、長庚大學（81名）和中興大學（89名）。
這些大學進步最多的是長庚大學（躍進12名）、臺師大（躍升十名）以及臺北醫學大學（上升四名）。排名比去年低的則有中山大學（下滑十名）、中央大學（跌了六名）還有陽明大學（掉了四名）。
長庚大學的陳君侃副校長說長庚排名上升是因為醫學研究的成就。臺師大發言人林安邦將師大的成功，部分歸功於教職員發表了更多論文。
這些學校是根據學業名聲、斯高帕斯資料庫中的論文的引用數、雇主的聲譽以及國際學生和國際教師的比例。
(Local) List of Asias Top Universities Includes 12 From Taiwan
UK-based higher education information provider QS has released this years annual list of the top 100 Asian Universities, including 12 from Taiwan.
This years highest performers were National Taiwan University (21st place), National Chiao Tung University (29th place), National Tsing Hua University (33rd place) and National Cheng Kung University (36th place). These were followed by Taipei Medical University (46th place), National Yang Ming University (49th place), National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (51st place), National Central University (59th place), National Sun Yat Sen University (73rd place), National Taiwan Normal University (75th place), Chang Gung University (81st place) and National Chung Hsing University (89th place).
The universities with the largest upward move include Chang Gung University (up 12 places), National Taiwan Normal University (up ten places), and Taipei Medical University (up four places). Those ranking lower than last year include National Sun Yat Sen University (down 10 places), National Central University (down six places) and National Yang Ming University (down four places).
Vice-president of Chang Gung University Chen Chun-kan said that their rise in rank was due to achievements in medical research. Lin An-pang, National Taiwan Normal University spokesman, attributes part of his universitys success to faculty members publishing more dissertations.
The schools were ranked according to academic reputation, citations per paper according to the database SciVerse Scopus, reputation amongst employers, and the proportions of both international students and international faculty members.
