"台灣九月出口訂單衰退7%"

台灣經濟出現警訊！原本應該是旺季的九月，財政部公佈出口訂單總額較去年同期大幅衰退7%。其中台灣對大陸與香港減少9.1億美元（-8.4%），對美國減少2.5億美元（-8.5%），對日本減少2億美元（-10.9%），只有對歐洲增加約1億美元（4.5%）。

台灣對中國、美國、日本出口訂單持續衰退，顯示台灣競爭力正在下降。過去電子產品佔最高出口比重，但近年來台灣電子業受到韓國的擠壓，再加上日幣大幅貶值與中國電子業的崛起，都已讓台灣逐漸喪失競爭優勢。

台灣政府如果再不採取更靈活的貨幣政策，積極輔導產業轉型與升級，明年的台灣恐怕將面臨更嚴峻的考驗。

(Business) Taiwans September Exports Down 7%

Taiwans economy is in danger! While exports normally surge in September, the Ministry of Finance reported a sharp drop of 7% year-on-year.Among them, exports to China and Hong Kong fell by US$910 million (-8.4%), exports to the US declined by US$250 million (-8.5%), exports to Japan dropped by US$200 million (-10.9%), and only exports to Europe saw an increase of around US$100 million (4.5%).

Taiwans shipments to China, the US and Japan have continued to decrease, indicating a decline in the countrys competitiveness.Electronic goods used to account for the largest proportion of Taiwans exports, however, in recent years, due to heightened competition from Korea, significant depreciation of the yen, and the rise of Chinas electronics industry, Taiwan has gradually lost its competitive edge.

If the Taiwanese government does not implement more effective currency policies and actively assist industries in their transformation and upgrade, it is feared that Taiwan will be up against an even tougher challenge next year.
