"台北40%的補習班不符標準"

根據法務局的資料看來台北市只有61%的補習班合格。

檢驗台北市內246間補習班後，發現95間學校違反了規範。部分發出的收據少了他們的退款規則相關資訊；有些是地點不合規範，因為它們位於沒有執照的建築物之中，而其他則為手上沒有教師資格證明影本。也有其他補習班是過度擴大班級、建築管理和消防機制不佳。

教育部說每年大約處理了三百到四百件消費者相關的爭議，捲入這些爭議的大多是提供電腦、語言課程的補習班。特別是威爾斯美語、菁英國際語言教育中心和學承電腦為五大違規的補習班。

進行此檢驗的目的是提醒消費者明智地選擇補習班。所有合約都應該仔細閱讀，以確保身為消費者的權益受到保障。

Apparently, only 61% of cram schools in the city are up to standard, according to the Department of Legal Affairs.

After inspecting 246 cram schools in Taipei City, it was found that 95 schools had violated regulations. Some issued receipts on which information regarding their refund policies was missing; some had unacceptable locations for they were located in buildings that had been constructed without a license, while others did not have copies of proof of teacher certification on hand. There were also others that had oversized classes and poor building management and fire control mechanisms.

The Department of Education says that about 300-400 consumer-related disputes involving cram schools are dealt with every year and it is mostly schools offering computer or language courses that become embroiled in them. In particular, Wells Information Co. Ltd., ELITE International Education Services and pccenter Information Co. Ltd. were among the top 5 schools with the most inspection failures.

The inspections were conducted to remind consumers to choose wisely when it comes to cram schools. All contracts should be read carefully to ensure their rights as a consumer are protected.
