"學校用電子書？"

有鑑於電子書業界的發展加快，學校裡的紙本教科書可能很快就會成為過去了。

把書本改為電子書瀏覽器／電子書能帶來數個好處。首先，資料更容易取得了。使用電子書瀏覽器的學生可以把許多本教科書放在同一個機器上，幾秒內就可取得。這代表即便書本的數量增加也不會影響學生背著的重量。許多國家，尤其是學生常常背著很重的書包的亞洲國家，重量將減到最輕。

還有成本考量。在買了這個機器之後，購書的成本就降低了（與紙本書籍相比）然後就更易獲得了。這對低收入地區和公立學校來說絕對是好處。

電子書常是互動式的，且能提供重點整理或其他資訊，是傳統教科書做不到的。他們能以互動的方式提供最新的版本，對學生來說更具吸引力。電子書也能讓學生調整字體大小，對視覺有困難的讀者來說能更舒適地閱讀。

許多學校都很樂意換成電子書──發現這也能替學校省錢。預估每年每100本書之中就有15本因被破壞或是被弄丟，而需要換新，但這將不再是個問題。許多書籍也都透過不同出版社提供，讓學校（或家長）得以選擇最便宜的版本。

Paper textbooks in school may soon be a thing of the past as the ever-growing industry of e-books is on the rise.

There are several benefits that arise when switching books to an e-reader / e-book. First, there is the ease of accessibility. Students using e-readers can have several textbooks on one device, with access to them in seconds. This means that the amount of books can be increased without affecting the weight being carried by students. In many countries, especially Asian countries where students often carry heavy loads, the weight will be reduced to a minimum.

There is also a cost factor. After the original device has been purchased, book cost decreases (in comparison to paper books) and the availability increases. This is a definite plus to low-income areas and public schools.

E-books are also interactive and often offer notes and other resources traditional textbooks cannot. They offer the newest version in an interactive manner, which is more appealing to students. E-books also allow students to adjust text size, so that a reader with visual problems would read more comfortably.

Many schools are quite happy to make the switch to e-books V finding it saves schools money as well. An estimated 15 of every 100 books needed to be replaced yearly due to damage or loss, but this will no longer be a concern. Many books are also offered under a variety of publishers, allowing schools (or parents) to choose the cheapest version.
