麥克羅伊也許是世界排行頂尖的高球手，但是年輕的北愛爾蘭選手表示，他在本週萊德盃的歐洲隊上不會擔任領袖。23歲的高球選手表示他希望保持目前贏球的狀態，但是他參加萊德盃的經驗沒有其他隊友多。

麥克羅伊在八月於凱瓦島上舉辦的PGA錦標賽上，贏得了他的第二座大滿貫冠軍，但顯然他對歐洲萊德盃隊伍的其他成員還是很尊敬。「這裡許多人參加萊德盃的次數比我多，團體賽的經驗也更豐富，他們知道發表言論的時機，對事情也有不同觀點。我還正在慢慢了解並學習打萊德盃。」

為期三天的萊德盃訂於九月28日至30日在伊利諾州麥迪納鄉村俱樂部球場舉行。萊德盃兩年舉行一次，輪流在歐洲和美國舉行。上次比賽是歐洲隊贏，地點在威爾斯的塞爾提克渡假村。

The famous golf tournament will take place in the US from September 28-30.

Rory McIlroy may be the worlds top-ranked golfer, but the young Northern Irishman says he wont be a leader in the European team room during this weeks Ryder Cup. The 23-year-old says that while he hopes to keep up his current winning form, he doesnt have as much Ryder Cup experience as some of his teammates.

McIlroy won his second Major at Augusts PGA Championship at Kiawah Island, but he obviously still looks up to other members of the European Ryder Cup team. Theres a lot more guys that have played more Ryder Cups than me and are more experienced in the team room and know when to speak up and have different views on things. Im still getting to know and still learning about the Ryder Cup.

The Ryder Cup was scheduled to take place over three days from September 28-30 at the Medinah Country Club in Illinois. The competition is organized once every two years and is held alternately in Europe and the US. The last tournament was won by Europe at the Celtic Manor Resort in Wales.
