"本屆學測分析"

一年一度的大學學測剛剛落幕，除了數學科目比往年簡單以外，其它科目的難易度則差不多。依考生人數來評估，本屆考生總級分應該會提高1到2級分。要進入到台大得取得70級分。清大、交大、成大、政大則要67級分以上。至於私立名校則至少也要55級分以上。

至於最難考進的台大醫學系，則永遠都是75級分。陽明醫學系則因招生人數減半，也是到達75級分。其它醫學系則也都在73級分以上才有機會錄取，難度依然相當的高。

至於其它國立大學，如中山、中正、中央、中興等大學，保守估計也要達到63級分以上才有機會錄取。不過值得注意的是，有些學校在甄選條件上選擇依不同系所採重點科目另做加權計算的方式。因此考生的總級分不一定是最終的判斷基準，家長與考生們可特別留意。

(Education) A Look at This Years GSAT

The annual General Scholastic Ability Test (GSAT) was recently held across Taiwan. Most of the subject tests were on par with that of previous years in terms of the degree of difficulty, except for math tests, which were found to be easier than usual. Having taken the number of test takers into consideration, the overall score is expected to be pushed up by one to two points. If students want to gain admission to National Taiwan University, they have to score at least 70 points. As for National Tsing Hua University, National Chiao Tung University, National Cheng Kung University and National Chengchi University, the benchmark score is 67. When it comes to highly-acclaimed private universities, a minimum score of 55 is required.

On the other hand, National Taiwan University School of Medicine, which has the lowest acceptance rate of any university, has kept its benchmark score at 75. Likewise, National Yang-Ming School of Medicine also requires a minimum score of 75 due to the reduction in applicant numbers. The admission threshold for other medical schools is also quite high, requiring a minimum score of 73.

As for other public universities, such as Sun Yat-sen University, National Chung Cheng University, National Central University and National Chung Hsing University, students will probably need to get at least 63 points for a chance of admission. What is noteworthy, however, is that schools sometimes differ in the way they take scores from particular subjects (depending on the department) and calculate the weighted mean when it comes to college acceptance through selection. For this reason, the overall score may not necessarily be the decisive factor in the admission decision. It is advised that students and their parents pay special attention to this.
