"英國企業看好2014"

一份針對英國1500多家企業所做的景氣調查，多數的企業認為，2014年的景氣應該會有明顯復甦。而多數的企業也表示，如果景氣如預期發展下去，企業投資比例也會提高。

英國上個月的失業率已下降到7.4%，是自2009年以來最好的水準。再加上2013年12月的採購經理人指數（PMI），服務業為58.8，企業信心則達到73.5，顯示英國經濟確實已經逐漸回溫。

景氣雖然回溫，但是已有部份企業擔心央行有可能會調升利率。不過央行總裁卡尼則明確表示，在英國失業率未下降到7%以前，都不會考慮升息。這也意味著英國政府，在2014年將持續給予市場更多有力的支持。

(International) UK Companies Optimistic About 2014

According to an economic outlook survey of more than 1500 business companies in the UK, most of the firms are confident that the economy will make a major comeback in 2014. In addition, many companies also believe business investments will increase if the economy continues to grow at this rate.

The UK unemployment rate dropped to 7.4 percent last month, the lowest since 2009. On top of that, UK Services Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) for the month of December, 2013, reported a figure of 58.8, while business confidence rose to 73.5 points, signifying that the UK economy is taking a turn for the better.

Even though the economy is bouncing back, a number of firms are worried that the central bank will raise interest rates. Nevertheless, Mark Carney, governor of the UKs central bank, has given his assurance that an increase in interest rates will not be considered until the UK jobless rate declines below 7 percent. This also means that the UK government will continue its efforts to prop up the economy in 2014.
