碧昂絲數位版的第五張專輯三天內賣出了828773張，打破iTunes的記錄。這張碧昂絲同名專輯收了14首歌，於12月13日在蘋果的線上iTunes商店獨家推出。根據蘋果指出，它不只在104個國家拿下銷售冠軍，也已經成為iTunes今年第二賣的專輯，僅落於賈斯汀提姆布萊克《傲視天下》。

The pop divas fifth album has broken an iTunes sales record.

The digital version of Beyonces fifth album sold 828,773 copies in just three days, smashing an iTunes record. The self-titled, 14-track album was released exclusively in Apples online iTunes Store on Dec. 13. According to Apple, it not only went to number one in 104 countries, but has already become the second best-selling album on iTunes this year, behind only Justin Timberlakes The 20/20 Experience.

The divas new album came as a huge surprise for it was released without any prior announcements. I didnt want to release my music the way Ive done it. I am bored with that. I feel like I am able to speak directly to my fans, Beyonce said in a statement. I wanted everyone to see the whole picture and see how personal everything is for me. I would make my best art and just put it out.

Described as a visual album, Beyonce features videos shot around the world, including Paris, Sydney, New York City and Rio de Janeiro. The 32-year-old singer returns to the feminist themes of her earlier works and also performs with her husband Jay-Z and their baby, Blue Ivy, in some of the ballads.
