"YouTube舉辦首場音樂大獎"

這個熱門的影片分享服務已經宣佈它將在下個月舉辦首次音樂大獎。

名為Youtube音樂大獎，這場盛會將在11月3號於紐約舉行，並將會由演員傑森舒瓦茲曼主持。典禮將會是現場直播，並由女神卡卡、阿姆和拱廊之火擔綱要角。為了反映出YouTube的全球能見度，來自全球各地預錄好的表演也將在活動幾小時前播映。

至於提名獎項，將於十月17號宣布。根據這間Google旗下的服務，入圍影片的依據為過去一年來最多觀看人次和最多分享的影片。然而，決定獎落誰家的權力將握在使用者的手中。

這典禮據稱是要辦來歡慶YouTube使用者的影響力。為了讓此大獎秀與眾不同，主辦者說將會在典禮中創建現場直播影片，這樣「此體驗就會變得更有關於創造力而不只是頒獎」。這場秀的創意總監史派克瓊斯說：「整個夜晚應該感覺就像部YouTube影片一樣。」

(Entertainment) YouTube to Host Its First Music Awards

The popular video sharing service has announced that it will be holding its own music awards next month.

Named YouTube Music Awards, the ceremony is set to take place in New York on Nov. 3 and will be hosted by actor Jason Schwartzman. It will be live-streamed and headlined by Lady Gaga, Eminem and Arcade Fire. To reflect YouTubes global presence, pre-recorded performances from across the globe will also be aired in the hours leading up to the event.

As for the nominations, they will be announced on Oct. 17. According to the Google-owned service, they will be based on the most watched and shared videos over the past year. However, the power to decide who the winners are will be in the hands of the users.

The ceremony is said to be held to celebrate the influence of YouTubes users. To set the awards show apart from others, the organizers say live videos will be created during the show so that the experience becomes more about creating than presenting. The whole night should feel like a YouTube video itself, said Spike Jonze, the shows creative director.
