"可成科技受惠於智慧型手機公司"

可成科技現在替蘋果的Macbook Air筆記型電腦和iPad mini平板製造金屬外殼，它可能即將會因智慧型手機市場而成長。

根據台灣巴克萊資本證券股份有限公司所說，可成科技從明年開始將會接到新訂單，分別是蘋果的iPhone5s和三星的galaxy系列。可成科技現在供應金屬外殼給宏達電的手機，而由於更多公司開始使用金屬外殼，可成科技將會獲得商業合約。

現在只有三星不用金屬外殼，但這可能很快就會改變。根據南韓電子時代報紙所述，三星可能會在龜尾的廠房建造一條生產線。龜尾位於南韓首爾東南方大約260公里處，而那裏的工廠或許最快今年底就能生產金屬鋁鎂殼了。

瑞士信貸集團台北分行的分析師陳柏齡表示：「我們相信這對獨立金屬外殼供應商像是可成科技或是巨騰國際控股來說應該是好消息，因為這些『新』電子專業代工可能會比較想和獨立外殼製造商合作，而不是跟競爭對手外殼製造商的子公司合作。」

(Business) Catcher To Benefit From Smartphone Companies

Catcher Technology Co., which currently makes metal casings for Apple Inc.s Macbook Air notebook and iPad mini tablet, may soon get a boost from the smartphone market.

According to Barclays Capital Securities Taiwan Ltd., the company will be receiving new orders from Apple for the iPhone 5s and Samsung Electronic Co.s galaxy series beginning next year. Catcher currently supplies metal casings for HTC Corp.s smartphones, and as more companies are beginning to use metal casings, Catcher Technology is set to gain business contracts.

At present, only Samsung does not use metal casings, but this may soon change. According to a report in South Koreas Electronic Times newspaper, Samsung may build a production line at its plant in Gumi. Gumi is an approximate 260km southeast of Seoul, and factories there may produce metal casings of aluminium and magnesium as early as the end of this year.

Pauline Chen, an analyst at Credit Suisse AGs Taipei securities branch, stated, We believe the news should be positive for independent metal casing suppliers such as Catcher or Ju Teng International Holdings Ltd as these new EMS suppliers could prefer to team up with independent casing makers, over their competitors casing subsidiaries.
