"羅琳和華納兄弟合作，再續哈利波特魔力"

在這叫座的八部電影的最近一部電影推出兩年後，華納兄弟宣布這哈利波特的魔法世界將重回大銀幕。

哈利波特的作者J.K羅琳已經跟華納兄弟簽了劇本的合約，要寫哈利波特的外傳電影。羅琳先前寫來搭配「波特」系列的霍格華茲教科書《怪獸與牠們的產地》，以此書為靈感，這些電影的中心主軸將放在教科書作者扭特卡曼德的冒險故事。羅琳表示這系列將不會是原本故事的延續，而是「魔法世界的延伸」，並且這故事將始於紐約，哈利波特時期的70年前。

羅琳也說她最初猶豫要不要將這個故事變成一部外傳電影，因為她覺得「很想保護它」。但是，她很快就想到了一個她無法趕出腦海的構思，並且決定行動。

除了電影系列之外，華納兄弟的執行長Kevin Tsujihara揭露說也有計畫要推出電玩遊戲和在環球主題樂園及度假村的哈利波特的魔法世界增設遊樂設施。

(Entertainment) Rowling and Warner Bros. Team Up to Extend Harry Potter Magic

Two years after the release of the last installment of the hit eight-picture franchise, Warner Bros. announces that the wizarding world of Harry Potter is returning to the big screen.

Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling has signed a screenwriting deal with Warner Bros. to pen a series of Harry Potter spin-off movies. Inspired by Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the Hogwarts textbook Rowling previously wrote to accompany the Potter series, the films will be centered on the adventures of the textbook author, Newt Scamander. Rowling stated that the series would not be a continuation of the original story, rather an extension of the wizarding world, and that the story would begin in New York, 70 years before Harry Potters time.

Rowling also said she was hesitant to turn the story into a spin-off film at first for she felt very protective of it. However, she soon came up with an idea that she couldnt dislodge, and decided to move ahead.

In addition to a film series, Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara revealed that there are also plans for a video game and an attraction within the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at theme parks run by Universal Parks and Resorts.
