許多學生需要準備接下來的重要考試。

上週在遭地震襲擊的四川省災區，數千名學生返校準備重要考試。部分地區課程是在軍方帳篷內進行，學童共用桌子和課本。儘管辛苦，學生大多很開心能有機會準備大學和高中入學考試。

四川省數百間學校，光雅安市就有355所，在4月20號發生強震後關閉，但官員盡一切努力要讓學生重返課堂。最初將重點放在國中或高中的高年級學生身上。然而四川省政府發言人侯雄飛在上週的記者會上表示，所有學生會在4月27號前恢復上課。

當地學校目前急需課本和印刷教材的油墨，但教師已盡力地正常教課。許多學生感謝老師的努力，但也有許多人很難專心上課。一位學生表示：「我害怕自己無法通過（高中入學考試）。我現在上課沒辦法專心。我每分每秒都在害怕餘震。」

(Education) Sichuan Students Return to School

Many students need to prepare for important upcoming exams.

In quake-hit areas of Sichuan province last week, thousands of students returned to school to prepare for important exams. In some places, classes are taking place in military tents with children sharing desks and textbooks. Despite the hardships, students are mostly happy that theyve got a chance to prepare for college and high school entrance exams.

Hundreds of schools in Sichuan, including 355 in Yaan City alone, were closed after the strong earthquake on April 20, but officials are doing everything they can to get students back into classes. At first, the focus is on those in their final years of junior or senior high school. However, Sichuan provincial government spokesman Hou Xiongfei said in a news conference last week that every student would resume classes by April 27.

Schools in the area are appealing for textbooks and ink to print learning materials, but teachers are trying their best to teach regular classes. Many students appreciate the effort, but many are having trouble focusing. One student said: Im afraid that I am going to fail the high school entrance. I cannot concentrate in class now. I am scared of aftershocks all the time.
