"三星因智慧型手機獲利大增"

三星電子上週公布獲利和去年同期相比躍增41%。這家科技龍頭今年前三個月的淨利為7.15兆韓圓（64億美元），和前一季相比亦有成長。分析師表示獲利成長主要歸功於智慧型手機銷量。

去年三星取代蘋果，成為世界最大智慧型手機製造商，自此越來越強大。國際數據資訊公司分析師布萊恩評論道，三星「在手機生產方面充滿動力，顯然從消費者的角度來看，三星的手機帶來許多驚喜。三星讓許多競爭對手好奇他們接下來要做什麼。」

這間南韓公司能拉開差距，超越近來宣布獲利罕見下滑的蘋果公司，原因之一在於它生產多種手機，而蘋果只有iPhone。隨著Galaxy S4上市，三星預期將在未來幾個月大幅超越競爭對手。

The South Korean company saw its profits jump by over 40% in the first quarter.

Samsung Electronics last week reported a 41% year-on-year jump in profits. In the first three months of the year, the tech giant made a net profit of 7.15 trillion won (US$6.4 billion), which is also up from the previous quarter. Analysts are saying that the rise could largely be attributed to sales of the companys smartphones.

Samsung replaced Apple as the worlds biggest smartphone manufacturer last year, and has gone from strength to strength since then. IDC analyst Bryan Ma commented that Samsung has a lot of momentum behind what they are doing around phones, and clearly from a consumer perspective, they have a lot of excitement around their devices. They have a lot of their competitors wondering what they are going to do.

One of the reasons the South Korean firm has been able to pull away from Apple, which recently announced a rare fall in profits, is that it makes a range of handsets whereas Apple only has the iPhone. As the Galaxy S4 has now been launched, Samsung is expected to move even further ahead of its competitors in the coming months.
