"中國要求幼稚園有更多教師"

許多學校要找到合格教師已經很困難了。

因擔憂目前該國幼稚園孩童照護和指導的水準，中國教育部針對課堂教師和學生比例公布新的指導方針。新措施要求課堂師生比例應介於1比5和1比7之間。教育部建議新法規應在三年內達成。

新標準於1月22日公布於教育部網站上。根據規定，全天課的班級必須要有三位教師或是兩位教師加一名護士，而半天課的班級則必須要有至少兩位教師。在寄宿學校，每個班級必須還要再多一位教師或護士。

對學校來說要符合這些要求並不容易，因為許多學校正對處理教師短缺的問題頭大。一位來自北京一所頂尖學校的教師談到他們所面臨的問題時表示：「我們幼兒園的每個班級都有至少30個小孩、3個教師和1個護士。」她說許多學校的教師甚至更少。儘管有這些問題存在，教育當局還是要求學校雇用完全合格的教師。

Many schools are already struggling to find enough qualified teachers.

Concerned by current levels of child care and instruction at the nations kindergartens, Chinas Ministry of Education has released new guidelines on the ratio of teachers to students in the classroom. The new measures call for classes to have ratios that fall between 1:5 and 1:7. The ministry advised that the new rules should be met within three years.

The new standards were released on the ministry website on January 22. Under the rules, full-day classes must have three teachers or two teachers and a nurse, while half-day classes are required to have at least two teachers. At boarding schools, each class must have an extra teacher or nurse.

It will not be easy for schools to meet these requirements, as many are already struggling to cope with a shortage of teachers. A teacher from a top Beijing school spoke about the problems they faced, saying: Each class in our kindergarten has at least 30 children, and three teachers and one nurse. She said that many schools have even fewer teachers. Despite the problems, education authorities are still asking that schools hire fully qualified teachers.
