"艾黛兒的五年假期"

艾黛兒曾經撂下狠話要離開音樂界長達五年的時間。不過現在她說，她從沒有認真想過要休這麼長的假。她的經理人喬納森迪金斯說，儘管她2012年的巡迴演唱會尚未進行詳細討論，艾黛兒也不會休息這麼久的時間。

在喉嚨發生問題之後，艾黛兒在葛萊美頒獎典禮上重返舞台，現場演唱她的熱門歌曲《愛恨交織》。

艾黛兒的首張專輯《19》賣出110萬張。這位歌手的第二張專輯《21》也賣出超過150萬張，內含她最熱門的歌曲《像你一樣的人》。沒有任何專輯可以達到這個成績，在一年的前三個月賣出一百萬張，但是《21》賣出了超過150萬張。

在發行她的第二首單曲之後，艾黛兒成為自披頭四以來，第一個在英國單曲和專輯排行榜同時有兩首進入前五名歌曲的現存藝術家。

Adele has threatened to take a five-year break from the music industry. She now, however, says that she never seriously intended to take such a long break. Her manager, Jonathan Dickins, says that Adele will not take such a long break even though her plans for her 2012 tour have not been properly discussed.

Adele made her live comeback after her throat problems at the Grammys, singing her hit Rolling in the Deep.

Adeles first album was called 19 and sold 1.1 million copies. The singers second album 21 sold over 1.5 million copies and had her great hit, Someone Like You, on it. No album has ever managed, in the first three months of the year, to sell one million copies and 21 has sold over 1.5 million.

Upon the release of her second single, Adele became the first living artist since the Beatles to have two top five hits in the UK singles and album charts at the same time.

Adele has become a singing sensation overnight. Let us hope that she does not decide to leave the world of showbiz for as long as five years and that her singing goes from strength to strength.
