"廣州圖書ATM機"

中國廣州市最近造福民眾，將ATM功能應用到圖書服務上，讓民眾能夠隨時借還書。廣州市文化公園內這台看似販賣機的大機器，陳列著標有編號的圖書，它叫做圖書ATM機。

民眾只要帶感應式身分證或借書證和100元人民幣，就可以從陳列的400本書裡，挑選最多五本的圖書借回家。而還書也一樣方便，只要在一個月內透過圖書ATM機辦理還書即可。廣州圖書館預計今年要再加裝兩台這樣的圖書ATM機，但可能根本無法滿足所有廣州市民的需求。

中國最早推出圖書ATM服務的是深圳，至今已有200台圖書ATM機，大大提升深圳圖書館的藏書利用率，推廣書香風氣，而廣州目前則還有很大的努力空間。

(Local)Guangzhou ATM Machine for Books

There are additional benefits for the people in Guangzhou, China, because ATM functions will now be applied to library book services to allow people to borrow and return books at any time. This big machine that looks like a vending machine in Guangzhou Cultural Park has many numbered books on display and is called a Book ATM Machine.

People only need to bring their inductive identification card or library card, and RMB100 and they are able to choose five library books, out of the 400 on display, to take home. Returning books is also easy and you only need to return the books through the Book ATM Machine within a month. The Guangzhou Library is expected to install two more of these Book ATM Machines, but it may still not be enough to satisfy the demands of the Guangzhou City citizens.

The first city to launch Book ATM services in China was Shenzhen and now there are already 200 Book ATM Machines. This greatly increases the library collection utilization rate in Shenzhen and promotes reading. Though, Guangzhou still has a lot of room for improvement.
