Charlize Theron is one of the top actresses in Hollywood. She won an Oscar for playing a serial killer in Monster, and many people felt she should have received another one for North Country. Now, shes back with another excellent performance in another great movie. In Young Adult, she plays an unlikeable writer.

Theron said that she wanted to do this movie because of its director, Jason Reitman. She describes him as a very talented, creative director. And she added that he was able to make her acting even better. Jason is someoneKwho can make you do things you cant do yourself, she said.

Reitman is also very complimentary of Theron. Shes so steady, so strong, he said. He talked about a scene near the end of the movie when Therons character has a breakdown. He said her acting was so good that you feel that youre not making a movie anymore. Youre already in the audience, watching.
