(產業) 東貝4月營收攀升

國內LED照明大廠東貝,上個月合併營收達8億元,創下18個月來的新高。這顯示LED在價格逐漸走跌的趨勢下,消費者越來越能接受以LED取代傳統省電燈泡的觀念。尤其在電價不斷上揚的推波助瀾下,照明市場已經逐漸走入大規模的汰換世代週期。

東貝表示,室內照明的市場需求自三月起就出現明顯成長,四月的接單量更是暢旺。尤其夏季即將來臨,許多店家或家庭為降低夏季浮動電價的衝擊,更換LED已經成為消費者節能的第一選擇。

另一方面大尺寸電視已經逐漸成為電視銷售主力,電視背光採用的LED,也因為大尺寸讓LED用量也多了兩三成左右。再加上各國政府推展節能獎勵政策,種種外在環境的轉變,可預見LED的產業前景,將是一片光明。

(Business) Unity Optos Revenue Climbs in April

Major Taiwanese LED package manufacturer Unity Optos consolidated revenue for last month reached an 18-month high of NT$800 million. This shows that consumers have become more and more open to the idea of replacing traditional energy-efficient light bulbs with LED lights as LED lighting prices continue their downward trend. Especially in the wake of the repeated electricity price hikes, the lighting market is now undergoing a major out with the old, in with the new phase.

According to Unity Opto, the indoor lighting market has been seeing a considerable rise in demand since March and the number of orders received in April was even more impressive. Especially with summer being just around the corner, the switch to using LED lights to reduce the impact of the electricity price fluctuations in summer has become a popular choice among shops and families.

Meanwhile, with large TVs gradually becoming the driving force for TV sales, the number of LEDs used for TV backlighting has also increased by around 20 to 30 percent. On top of governments implementation of energy-saving policies and various external factors, it is safe to say that the future of the LED industry is bright and prosperous.
