"嘉義鋼鐵預測營利增加"

嘉義鋼鐵以生產液壓、汽車和農業零件產品著名，他們表示隨著農業和汽車產業表現良好，預估今年營收將成長20%。

這兩個產業的成長預計將佔他們今年營收的30%～35%，從去年的22.65%大幅增加。汽車成長據稱佔了總營收的20%（從去年的16%上升至此）。

嘉義鋼鐵董事長曹光照表示：「我們開始發展農業這塊生意的契機是，我們發現在2009年全球經濟危機的時候，這個產業相較之下較不受經濟下滑影響。」

嘉義鋼鐵去年申報的營收為10.4億新台幣，比前一年增加了10.75%。上一季，該公司報給台灣證券交易所的營收增加了16.37%，總計2.7527億元。

隨著嘉義鋼鐵從新興股市換至證券櫃檯買賣中心（GRETAI），投資人5月26日就能夠購買224萬股中的部分股份，每股價格22元新台幣。

(Business) Chia Yi Steel Predicts Profitable Gains

Chia Yi Steel, known for its production of products for hydraulic, automobile and agricultural sectors, has stated it predicts a 20% revenue growth for this year as both agricultural and automobile sectors are increasing.

The growth of these two sectors is expected to account for 30-35% of its revenue this year, amounting to a sizeable increase from 22.65 percent last year. Automobile growth is said to account for 20% of the total revenue (up from 16% last year.)

Chia Yi Steel Chairman Tsao Kuang-chao stated, We started developing the agricultural sector business because we discovered during the global financial crisis in 2009 that the sector was relatively unaffected by the economic downturn.

Chia Yi Steel registered revenue of NT$1.04 billion last year, an increase of 10.75% from the previous year. Last quarter, the company reported revenue increases of 16.37 percent on the Taiwan Stock Exchange, which totaled NT$275.27 million.

On May 26th, investors can purchase some of the 2.24 million shares listed at NT$22 per share as Chia Yi Steel switches from the Emerging Stock Market to GRETAI Securities Market.
