"可穿戴科技市場即將擴張"

根據一份資訊工業策進會的報告以及數名相關業界的專家所言，全球對可穿戴式科技和新裝置的需求，預計將於接下來的四年內大幅成長。

今年，預計全球的可穿戴科技市場將達到60億美元，並將在2018年之前爬升到206億美元。

該機構的報告指出，台灣的地方企業擁有強勁的資訊通訊科技產業，這樣的優勢讓可穿戴式科技成為「極適合台灣投資的新市場」。BCC Research指出，此產業將對亞洲最有益處，而且亞洲將成為新發展和產品的先鋒。

市場研究企業國際數據資訊（IDC）的預測也雷同，表示他們認為今年全球可穿戴式電腦裝置的出貨量將上看三倍，達到1900萬組以上。這些預測也跟工研院（ITRI）的看法不謀而合，他們認為提供健康功能和服務的裝置（尤其是專為台灣老年人口設計的裝置）將會變得極為熱門。

去年，可穿戴和保健相關的裝置全球營收約有8.6億美元，而此數據預期將在2018年攀升28.1%的年均複合增長率，達到30億美元。

(Business) Wearable Device Market Set To Expand

The global demand for wearable technology and new devices is forecast to grow substantially over the next four years, according to a report by the Institute for Information Industry and several industry-related experts.

This year, it is predicted that the worldwide wearable device market will reach US$6 billion, climbing to US$20.6 billion by 2018.

With Taiwans local companies having a strong information and communication technology sector, this advantage could make it a new market extremely suitable for investment according to the institutes reports. According to BCC Research, Asia will benefit from this growth sector the most and be the front-runner for new developments and production.

Market researcher International Data Corp (IDC) has made similar predictions, stating that they believe global wearable computing device shipments will triple to more than 19 million units this year. These predictions are also in line with those made by the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) which believes devices that offer healthcare functions and services, made especially for the countrys aging population, will become extremely popular.

Last year, global revenues from wearable healthcare-related devices were an approximate US$860 million, and that figure is expected to rise at a compound annual rate of 28.1 percent to reach US$3 billion in 2018.
