"台灣的LGBT權益成了熱門議題"

台灣同志家庭權益促進會最近表示台灣必須正視LGBT族群這個事實，並且要求立法委員和民眾對他們結婚共組家庭的權益表示支持。

促進會的副理事長游雅婷去年在佛教儀式中與黃美瑜成婚，但是她們的婚姻並不被視為合法成婚。這讓她和其他LGBT族群的成員在社會福利、財產和家族關係這方面都會遭遇到問題。

根據黃美瑜表示：「只有受到歧視的人才會感受到歧視。」

政大社會工作研究所的副教授王增勇正在幫黃美瑜和其他LGBT成員的權利公開發聲，並支持他們成婚的權利。

在立院提倡同性婚姻的民進黨立委鄭麗君和尤美女，參加了記者會以表達支持。根據尤美女所說：「結婚的權益是基本人權，不是政府給予的福利，讓政府可以想收回就收回。」鄭麗君也說：「立法保障平權能夠影響社會的價值和觀點。人們應該停止藉由訴諸道聽塗說來逃避法律不公平的問題。」

Taiwan LGBT Family Rights Advocacy recently stated that Taiwan must face the reality of its LGBT community and called on lawmakers and the public to show their support for their right to marry and have a family.

Frank Wang, an associate professor at National Chengchi Universitys Graduate Institute of Social Work, is helping to advocate for the rights of Huang and other LGBT members and their right to marry.

Democratic Progressive Party Legislators Cheng Li-chun and Yu Mei-nu, who proposed legalizing same-sex marriage in the legislature, attended the press conference as a show of support. According to Yu, The right to marriage is a basic human right, not a benefit offered by the government, which can revoke it when it sees fit. Cheng also stated, The legal construction of a guarantee to equal rights can influence social values and viewpoints. People should stop evading the problem of legal discrimination by referring to an unestablished consensus.
