"南台灣發行免費「觀光護照」"

這些護照將能讓持有者以優惠價格到南台灣的縣市到處走走看看。

第八版的「南台灣觀光護照」由觀光局、行政南部聯合服務中心和雲嘉南區聯合服務中心聯合發行。高達16萬份可以領取，這些護照將會在全台特定地點免費流通，像是鐵路和捷運站、郵局和遊客服務中心。

觀光護照內含多達300張優惠券，可在南台灣七縣市（包含了高雄市、台南市和雲林縣）中133間旅遊相關的餐廳、飯店、主題樂園以及店家使用。護照內也會介紹風景景點還有南台灣的當地食物。

根據行政南部聯合服務中心主任楊秋興表示，這些護照目的是要刺激南台灣的觀光業。宣傳主要觀光景點、旅遊路線和特色美食，希望更多外國觀光客和國內民眾都能夠受到吸引而來訪南台灣。

(Travel) Free Tourism Passports Issued for Southern Taiwan

The passports will allow holders to travel around southern cities and counties at discounted prices.

The eighth edition of the Southern Taiwan Tourism Passport has been jointly issued by the Tourism Bureau, the Cabinets Southern Taiwan Joint Services Center and Yunlin-Chiayi-Tainan Joint Services Center. With up to 160,000 copies available, the passports will be circulated for free at selected locations around the country, such as railway and metro stations, post offices and tourist service centers.

The tourism passports come with as many as 300 coupons for discounts at 133 tourism-related restaurants, hotels, theme parks and shops in seven southern cities and counties, including Kaohsiung City, Tainan City and Yunlin County. They also introduce scenic spots and local foods of southern Taiwan.

According to Yang Chiu-hsing, head of the Cabinets Southern Taiwan Joint Services Center, the passports aim to boost the tourism industry of southern Taiwan. By promoting major tourist attractions, travel routes and specialty foods, it is hoped that more foreign tourists and locals will be enticed to visit the south.
