"會說話的高科技鞋子"

(Technology) Hi-Tech Shoes that Talk

To show the public the potential of merging technology with ordinary objects, Google invented what they believe may be the face of footwear in the future - talking shoes. These shoes might look like ordinary Adidas sneakers on the outside, but inside they are equipped with enough gadgets that allow them to determine if youre at rest or in motion. Based on their reading, the shoe are programmed to say things to nag you to move (Are you a statue? Lets do this already!) or praise you (You have made me a very proud shoe). Since they are able to connect to the internet via the users android phone, they can also pinpoint the persons location and plot out nearby running routes. The prototype shoes can even link to social networking websites where friends can like or comment on their moves.

Dialogue Example:

(Hi-Tech Shoes) Glenda and Naomi are best friends. They are shoe shopping because Glenda needs a new pair of workout shoes. Lets listen to their conversation.

Glenda: I cant believe how indecisive I am right now. I am getting overwhelmed by the huge number of styles and types of shoes available in this store.

Naomi: Dont get confused by what you see. Its just a matter of matching the features of the shoes with the type of activities that you will be doing. For example, if you primarily workout at the gym, cross trainers are the best because they give you more support.

Glenda: Thats really good advice. I usually run so maybe I should concentrate on looking for a pair of shoes that is lightweight and has good cushioning.

Naomi: Did you hear about the prototype shoes that Google came up with? They added gadgets to the shoes to enable them to speak and nag you into exercising.

Glenda: I think its creepy. I would not want to hear my shoes talk to me, much less, hear other peoples shoes talk to them.

Naomi: I actually like the idea. It would be like having a personal trainer with me, urging me to exercise harder.

Glenda: Then youll be sad to hear that they only created the shoes for the exhibition and have no plans to put it into production.

Naomi: I think if they found out that a lot of people want those shoes, they would not hesitate to sell them in their stores.
