中國共產黨中央委員會總書記習近平表示，必須採取更多行動，確保國家的司法和檢察機構可獨立運作。他在中央政治局主持學習時發表上述言論。他還表示，必須要有系統立法，嚴格執法，追求司法正義。

這位中國領導人表示，司法體系內的人員與民眾保持密切關係很重要，如此一來才能以更公開公正的方式盡到自身職責。他評論道有必要讓司法機構有不同單位，克服司法系統無法有效公平審理案件的問題。

(Local) Xi Calls for Greater Judicial Independence

The Chinese leader also asked for judicial bodies to work closely with the public.

Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee General Secretary Xi Jinping has said more needs to be done to ensure that the nations judicial and procuratorial authorities can operate independently. He made the remarks while leading a study session at the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee. He also said that there needs to be scientific legislation, strict law enforcement, and judicial justice.

The Chinese leader said that it is important for those in the judiciary to remain close to the public so that they can do their jobs more openly and with greater fairness. He commented that there was a need for the various branches of the judiciary to overcome issues that stop the judicial system from handling cases efficiently and fairly.

Xi added that there should be greater education about laws and said that he hoped everyone would resolve their problems through lawful means. Addressing the problem of a perceived drop in public morality, the leader noted that in addition to good laws, a society also needs a strong sense of virtue.
