Many people in China are alarmed by growing wealth inequality in the country.

China has unveiled a series of plans to change the way income is distributed in the country. Large sections of the public are reported to be concerned about the growing wealth gap, and the government has responded with a series of policies that it claims will boost the income of average residents. The measures will mean that more government money is spent on social security and employment.
