With his appearances in a Harry Potter movie and the Twilight series, Robert Pattinson has become one of the worlds most famous and idolized actors. Hes also picked up a nickname, R-Patz, thats used in almost every article about him. Its short, its catchy, its definitely a lot easier to say than his full name, but theres one problem with it: the man himself hates it.

The surprising detail came to light when he was giving an interview to the UKs Guardian newspaper recently. Speaking about his new movie, Cosmopolis, the young star said that when he got the role, every single article that came out was, R-Patzs struggle for credibility. He then added: I don't understand who invented that thing, R-Patz. I want to strangle them.

Pattinson will be hoping for more serious roles when the Twilight saga ends later this year. Noting that people have an unfair impression of him, he said: It is surprising the amount of people who think I'm going to be really dumb. I think they think anyone who has done teen movies is just an idiot.
