Three Major Trends Observed at InfoComm Asia 2026
According to ESMA, this year’s exhibition highlighted three major technology trends shaping the future of the Professional AV and Smart Display industries.
- Artificial Intelligence Is Becoming the Core of Smart Displays
AI is no longer an optional feature—it has become a fundamental component of intelligent display systems.
Applications including real-time translation, AI meeting assistants, digital humans, speech recognition, computer vision, and intelligent content management are rapidly becoming standard across commercial display platforms.
- Transparent Display Technology Is Entering Commercial Deployment
Transparent display technologies are transitioning from concept demonstrations to practical commercial applications.
Transparent Micro LED solutions are increasingly being adopted in premium retail, luxury branding, transportation hubs, museums, architectural media, and smart commercial environments, creating immersive customer experiences while maintaining transparency and aesthetics.
- Enterprise Collaboration Continues to Drive Professional AV Innovation
As hybrid work becomes the global norm, demand continues to grow for integrated enterprise collaboration platforms combining wireless presentation, AV over IP, intelligent conferencing, AI translation, cloud collaboration, and centralized device management.
Professional AV is evolving from hardware deployment toward intelligent integrated ecosystems.
“Display × AI × System Integration” — Taiwan’s Competitive Strategy for Southeast Asia
ESMA believes Southeast Asia represents one of the world’s fastest-growing markets for smart technologies.
Driven by rapid urbanization, smart city initiatives, digital transformation, education modernization, hospitality investment, and commercial development, demand is shifting from standalone hardware procurement toward integrated smart solutions.
Taiwan possesses one of the world’s most complete electronics supply chains, spanning semiconductors, electronic components, LCD panels, Mini LED, Micro LED, AI software, industrial computing, networking, and system integration.
By combining these strengths, Taiwanese companies are uniquely positioned to deliver comprehensive solutions that integrate:
- Professional Displays
- Artificial Intelligence
- IoT Technologies
- Enterprise Collaboration
- Content Management
- Cloud Services
- System Integration
This “Taiwan Solution” approach creates greater value for customers while enabling long-term digital transformation across industries.
ESMA Vice Chairman Kao Chingyuan
Kao Chingyuan, Vice Chairman of the Taiwan Electronic Supply Chain Management Association (ESMA), said:
“InfoComm Asia is not only Asia’s leading Professional AV exhibition but also a strategic gateway for Taiwanese technology companies to expand into Southeast Asia. We have clearly observed that customers are no longer purchasing standalone products—they are seeking integrated solutions that combine Display, Artificial Intelligence, and System Integration.”
“Taiwan’s greatest strength lies in its complete technology ecosystem. From display technologies and electronic manufacturing to AI software and system integration, Taiwan is capable of delivering highly customized, value-added solutions for global customers.”
“ESMA will continue serving as a collaborative platform connecting Taiwanese enterprises with international partners through exhibitions, business matchmaking, and cross-border cooperation. Our goal is to transform Taiwan from a world-class manufacturing base into a globally recognized provider of intelligent technology solutions.”
“Southeast Asia represents tremendous opportunities for smart cities and digital transformation. ESMA will continue strengthening partnerships with governments, industry associations, system integrators, distributors, and technology partners across the region, enabling more Taiwanese innovations to create lasting value in international markets.”
Looking Ahead
ESMA will continue integrating the strengths of Taiwan’s electronics supply chain while expanding international collaboration through exhibitions, business networking, technology exchange, and strategic partnerships.
By promoting Display × AI × System Integration, Taiwanese companies are moving beyond hardware manufacturing toward comprehensive smart technology solutions, reinforcing Taiwan’s position as a trusted innovation partner for Southeast Asia and the global market.
