風雨過後奮起《生命之歌》 馬友友信函慰問台南登革熱疫情鄉親

2015，大師馬友友即將踏上臺南，他透過友人得知台南遭受疫疾侵襲，而台南樂迷們亦在大師本次的生命之歌主題中，深獲希望啟發與感動。10/31，馬友友將與摯友凱瑟琳攜手，向南台灣一路走來的堅強心靈致敬，以充滿撫慰、希望的生命之歌共勉，獻上對堅守信念的感動喝采! 

以下為馬友友給台灣朋友的問候信函(中文版)：

賴市長與台南的好朋友們，

距離上次造訪這座美麗的城市，已有六年之久。我從朋友得知，這些日子台南遭逢前所未有的疫情，也慶幸危機似乎正因眾人的努力而逐漸解除。過去至今，上天總是給人們眾多考驗，但正如我最近演出的主題，我也相信這裡的人們堅毅的生命力，在風雨過後會更奮起。下週我將與我的摯友 - 卓越的鋼琴家凱瑟琳 ‧ 史托特女士造訪台南演出。謹將《生命之歌》，表達我們對這座城市人們由衷的關心。

(英文版) Mayor Lai and my dear friends in Tainan,

It has been six years since I last visited your beautiful city.

I understand from a friend that Tainan was under an unprecedented impact of dengue fever, and I am pleased to hear that the situation seems to have been alleviated with the efforts of all. History shows that we are often faced many challenges from God, but they form a part of the arc of life, and I believe the people of Tainan will thrive for overcoming this great difficulty.

Next week, I will be returning to Tainan with my good friend and an amazing pianist, Kathryn Stott, and present the "Arc of Life" to our friends of this wonderful city.
