"日立即將裝設世上最快的電梯"

隨著日立計畫將於中國廣州一間摩天大樓中裝設一台新電梯，台北101可能將失去全世界最快電梯的頭銜。

台北101的電梯能達到時速60.6公里，為世界上速度最快的電梯，不過日立聲稱他們的新電梯能夠達到時速72公里（時速45英里），並且預計將於2016年前完工。工程師說從一樓到95樓費時43秒，並將設置於廣州新建的周大福金融中心之中。台北101目前載客速度為從五樓到89樓需費37秒。

為了避免耳朵塞住，電梯將人為調整電梯內部壓力。他們設計了「滾軸」以應變風壓造成的扭曲，而能夠抗高溫的特殊煞車則為工程師們設計電梯時面臨的諸多挑戰之一。

一旦完成，這棟建築將有94座電梯，其中兩座將以超高速運行。28座「雙層」電梯也將裝設於該建築內。周大福金融中心將設在廣東省首都，提供了辦公室、飯店和住宅空間。

Taipei 101 may soon lose its title as having the worlds fastest elevator as Hitachi makes plans to install a new elevator in a skyscraper in Guangzhou, China.

Taipei 101s elevator can reach speeds of 60.6 km/h, making it the current worlds fastest elevator, but Hitachi claims its new elevator is capable of reaching speeds of 72 km/hr (45 mph) and is scheduled to be completed by 2016. Engineers say it would take 43 seconds to go from the first floor to the 95th floor and will be installed in the new Guangzhou CTF Financial Centre. Taipei 101 currently moves passengers from the 5th floor to the 89th floor in 37 seconds.

In order to prevent ear blockages, the elevator will artificially alter air pressure in the car. Rollers were designed to adapt to warping caused by wind pressure, and special brakes able to resist extreme heat were just some of the other factors engineers faced in designing the lift.

When completed, the building will have 94 elevators, two of which are set to operate at the ultra-high speed. Twenty-eight double-decker lifts will also be installed in the building. The Guangzhou CTF Financial Centre will accommodate office, hotel and residential spaces in the capital city of Guangdong province.
