(Culture) International Pillow Fight Day
Indeed, there is nothing like a good pillow fight to blow off some steam.
The International Pillow Fight Day was celebrated last week with thousands of revelers around the world taking part in giant pillow fights. This years event saw active participation from more than 100 cities, including London, Paris, Budapest and Berlin.
During the event, people of all ages could be seen battling it out in public spaces with their weapon V the biggest, fluffiest and plushiest pillow, filling the cities with clouds of white. In New York, people dressed up as superheroes battled villains. While in Hong Kong, many people ripped their fluffy pillows apart and threw the loose feathers in the air. Although the participants were allowed to bash strangers, they were not allowed to hit anyone with a camera or any unarmed civilians.
Created by the Urban Playground Movement in 2008, the day is meant to be a fun day that is full of positive energy. The pillow fights are said to be organized as a way to get people outside and release stress.
