"哈爾濱的冰雪節盛大無比"

今年的冰雪節絕對是美不勝收。

年度的哈爾濱冰雪節最近在中國東北舉行，吸引了來自世界各地的旅客，他們得勇於對抗攝氏零下27度的低溫。今年是冰雪節的30週年慶典，主辦單位已經突破了過去表現，讓這個冬季樂園變得栩栩如生。

主題為「全球冰雪幻夢，世界卡通之旅」，冰雪節特色為由大塊冰磚製成的精美雕刻，並且以五彩繽紛的燈讓冰雕發光。一些必看的冰雕作品包含仿製打造的冰島Hallgrimskirkja教堂、羅馬競技場和帝國大廈，其中Hallgrimskirkja教堂用了一萬兩千公尺的冰塊所製。

據說雕刻品的作業從數月前就開始了。使用碎冰錐、冰鑿和雷射，大約有一萬名工人用從松花江挖出的成千上萬平方公尺的冰和雪打造出豪華的雕刻。

除了觀賞冰雕之外，遊客也可以在溜冰場上溜冰、玩滑雪板或是參與舉辦在結冰松花江的游泳競賽。

(Culture) Harbins Ice and Snow Festival Bigger Than Ever

This years festival is nothing short of spectacular.

The annual Harbin Ice and Snow Festival recently kicked off in northeastern China, attracting visitors from all over the world, who have had to brave temperatures as low as -27 degrees Celsius. With this year marking the 30th anniversary of the winter festival, the organizers have outdone themselves in bringing a winter wonderland to life.

Based on the theme of Global Ice and Snow Dream, World Cartoon Tour, the festival features amazing sculptures, which are made from massive ice blocks and illuminated with colorful lights. Some of the must-see works include a replica of Icelands Hallgrimskirkja church made with 12,000 meters of ice, a Colosseum and the Empire State Building.

It is said that work on the sculptures began months ago. Using ice picks, chisels and lasers, the some 10,000 workers built extravagant structures out of hundreds of thousands of square meters of ice and snow, which are pulled from the Songhua River.

In addition to looking at ice sculptures, visitors can also skate on ice rinks, snowboard, or participate in the swimming competition held in the frozen Songhua River.
