"咖哩比賽造成兩人送醫"

他們對超級辣的咖哩有很嚴重的反應。

咖哩在英國是一道很受歡迎的菜餚。那裡很多人時不時都會挑戰吃菜單上最辣的咖哩。這讓一家位在愛丁堡的餐廳Kismot舉辦了一場吃咖哩比賽。每個參賽者必須吃掉三碗「Kismot殺手」咖哩。比賽結束以後，有兩人送醫。

其中一位在醫院治療的人是美國的學生Curie Kim。事實上她在比賽當中名列第二。但是，她說這種痛太嚴重了。她解釋說，她的胃痛到她根本不知道房裡發生了什麼事。「我已經學到教訓，不敢再吃了。」她說。

比賽主辦人說必須要叫救護車，他感到很遺憾。但他為比賽辯護。他解釋說，總共為慈善機構募得了1,000磅（新台幣47,000元）。他也說，那兩人已經復原，而且「健康良好」。

They had a very bad reaction to the super-hot curry.

Curry is a very popular dish in the UK. Many people there regularly try to eat the spiciest curries on the menu. This led Kismot, a restaurant in Edinburgh, to organize a curry eating competition. Everyone taking part had to eat three bowls of the Kismot Killer curry. By the end of the competition, two people were left in hospital.

One of the people treated in hospital was an American student called Curie Kim. She actually came second in the competition. However, she said the pain was terrible. She explained that her stomach hurt so much that she didnt know what was happening in the room. I have learned my lesson and will never do it again, she said.

The organizer of the competition said he was sorry he had to call an ambulance. But he did defend the competition. He explained 1,000 pounds (NT$47,000) was raised for charity. He also said the two people recovered and were fit and well.
