"台北的跨年倒數派對吸引了116萬狂歡者"

新年前夕狂歡者塞爆信義區來迎接2014年的到來。

新年前夕，破紀錄的116萬狂歡者聚集在台北101這個地標附近，用音樂和煙火慶祝2014年到來。這場六小時的表演，由藍心湄、Janet和浩角翔起雙人組共同主持，表演有當紅流行明星一連串的演出，像是：S.H.E、謝金燕和陶喆，為這場盛宴更添熱鬧。

這場盛會在日本明星福山雅治特別出場時達到高峰。儘管福山雅治無法親自到場參與活動，透過日本的NHK電視台，他從橫濱演唱會現場連線而得以跟群眾互動且表演。

當晚的亮點無疑是台北101的218秒煙火秀。24000發煙火要價三千萬，由四公尺高的蜘蛛人雕像射出的雷射光束點燃。煙火也跟原住民音樂結合，替這場煙火秀增添了一些台灣精神。

Revelers jammed Xinyi District on New Years Eve to welcome the coming of 2014.

On New Years Eve, a record 1.16 million revelers gathered near the landmark Taipei 101 building to celebrate the arrival of 2014 with music and fireworks. The six-hour show, co-hosted by Pauline Lan, Janet and the Hao Jiao Xiang Qi duo, featured a series of performances by top pop stars, including S.H.E, Jeannie Hsieh and David Tao, fueling the festive atmosphere.

The party reached a climax when Japanese star Masaharu Fukuyama made a special appearance. Although the singer could not attend the event in person, he was able to interact with the crowds and deliver a performance straight from his concert in Yokohama via a live link with Japans NHK TV station.

The highlight of the night was no doubt the 218-second fireworks display at Taipei 101. The display of 24,000 fireworks, which cost NT$30 million, was set off by a laser beam fired by a 4-meter tall sculpture of comic hero Spider-Man. The fireworks were also paired with aboriginal music to add some Taiwanese spirit to the show.
