(Sport) Jeremy Lin Trade Rumors Swirl

Even though Houston Rockets guard Jeremy Lin has come off the bench after missing six games due to a knee injury, his on-court performance has been disappointing. It is uncertain whether his unsatisfactory performance is because of his new back injury or the fact that his coaches have deliberately cut back his playing time. Nevertheless, ESPNs reporters are speculating at this sensitive time that the senior management team for the Rockets is considering trading Lin.

Lin was supposed to be the Rockets dominant guard; however, the team snatched James Harden from the Oklahoma City Thunder and abruptly replaced Lin with him just before last season started. It is apparent that head coach Kevin McHale has little faith in Lin. Since last season, Lins playing time has continued to take a hit because of Harden and rumors about him being traded have also been circulating nonstop.

Many critics believe that ever since Dwight Howard joined the Rockets this year, all of the teams strategies have caused Lin to lose favor with the coaches. Right now, Lin is probably better off leaving the Rockets. Perhaps, he should consider joining the Los Angeles Lakers, which has been without a solid guard, or a smaller team that does not have any self-important players so that his abilities can truly shine.
