"檢察總長遭起訴"

經過近一個多月的偵察，台北地方檢察署依洩密罪嫌，於11月1日起訴法務部檢察總長黃世銘。對此，黃世銘強調，他絕對對得起自己的良心，並絕對能經得起考驗。

外界認為，這次黃世銘被起訴的關鍵證據，是因為馬總統出庭做證時，指出黃世銘於八月三十一日晚間至總統官邸討論立法院長王金平關說案情時，確實有出示書面調查報告。在北檢的起訴書上，也痛批黃世銘既身為最高檢察主管，卻知法犯法，視法律於無物。

許多在野黨立委認為黃世銘已不適任檢查總長這個職位。部份執政黨立委也認為黃世銘應該下台，為九月政爭負起最大責任。但黃世銘仍不願辭職，他自信地對外表示，社會終究會還他一個公道。

(Politics) Prosecutor-General Indicted

After probing into the case for over a month, the Taipei District Prosecutors Office (TDPO) indicted Prosecutor-General Huang Shih-ming on Nov. 1 for disclosing classified information. In response, Huang stressed that he did not do anything against his conscience and that he would be able to pull through no matter what.

It is believed that the key evidence that led to Huangs indictment was provided by President Ma Ying-jeou. When Ma was summoned as a witness in the case, he pointed out that Huang did in fact present investigation reports to him when he visited the Presidential Office on the night of Aug. 31 to brief him on the lobbying case involving Legislative Speaker Wang Jin-pyng. Being the countrys top prosecutor, Huang was also heavily criticized by TDPO for knowingly violating and disregarding the law.

Many legislators from the opposition party believe Huang is no longer fit for the position of Prosecutor-General. Similarly, some legislators from the ruling party also think Huang should step down from post to take the blame for the political disputes that arose in September. However, Huang still refuses to resign and has asserted that his innocence will be proven.
