"阿根廷欠13億美元"

欠了11年的債務，阿根廷在法庭上訴輸了13億美元。現在這項裁決將會上訴到美國最高法院。

二月曼哈頓法院裁決阿根廷已經「違反了平等對待所有債權人的合約義務」。

阿根廷仍堅持其決定，不償還拒絕先前減債交易的投資人。他們2002年時就已經拖欠了價值一千億美元的債，並二度調整了他們的債務。

多數（92%）債券持有人，已經同意一筆勾消欠他們的款項，但是NML資產管理和奧里略資產管理並不同意。他們對此案窮追不捨，要求100%償清債務，再加上利息。

事實上，他們甚至無所不用其極地將阿根廷的船隻自由號扣押在迦納，作為他們追債的手段之一。自由號於2012年十月羈押，而此紛爭已延燒到國際海洋法法庭。然而最終聯合國的國際海洋法法庭作出對阿根廷有利的判決，將船隻歸還給阿根廷，但此船還是被扣留了超過兩個月。

(International) Argentina Owes $1.3bn

Argentina lost a court appeal for $1.3bn dollars in debt owed for eleven years. The decision will now go to the Supreme Court.

Last February a Manhattan court ruled that Argentina had, violated its contractual obligation to treat all creditors equally.

Argentina remains firm in its decision not to repay investors who declined a previous debt reduction deal. They defaulted on $100bn worth of debts in 2002, and have restructured their debt twice.

The majority of bondholders, 92%, have agreed to write off most of the amount owed to them, but NML Capital and Aurelius Capital management have not. They have vigorously pursued the case, demanding 100% repayment of the debt, plus interest.

In fact, they have even gone so far as to have an Argentinean ship, the Libertad, impounded in Ghana as part of their attempts to collect on debt. The Libertad was detained in October of 2012, and the dispute went to the International Sea Tribunal. The UN Tribunal for the Law of the Sea eventually ruled in Argentinas favor, however, and the ship was returned to Argentina, but had been detained for more than two months.
