Kevin Durant led the Oklahoma City Thunder to a huge victory over the Houston Rockets in the first game of their first-round playoff series. The star player scored 24 points in the 120-91 win, but much of the media focus before and during the game was on James Harden and how the Rockets player would fare playing against his old teammates.

Harden didnt have a good night, scoring only 20 points on six of 19 shooting. His old teammates made a point of closing him down early. Durant even picked up an offensive charging foul when he stood in front of Harden as he was trying to make a basket. Speaking after the game, Durant said: It felt a little awkwardK seeing him with another team, but weve got to get past thatK. We know how hard he competes and he knows how hard we compete.

Jeremy Lin was making his first appearance in a playoff game, and, like most of the Rockets, he had a bad game. He said the team needed to get better. We really dont have an excuse anymore. Weve gotten it out and played terrible all the way across the board - offensively, defensively. That ones over with, he said.
