(Culture) Cambridge Satchels Gain Popularity amidst Vintage Fashion Trend

It appears that fashion has no rules, just as long as it can catch peoples attention; from ripped jeans to sky-high heels, and the elegant Chanel 2.55 to the Celine Nano Luggage Bag. In the past year, Cambridge satchels have become rather popular among young people and many fashion bloggers can be seen carrying this very English style cow leather school bag.

Cambridge satchels first came from a mother living near Cambridge, England. At first, she could not find a bag that was suitable for her children to carry to school, so she used her imagination and designed a bag that looked like the ones carried by the Hogwarts students in the Harry Potter movies. Afterwards, the mother contacted a carpenter and her idea was put into production. She set up a stall in front of a school and started selling her school bags in a bid to earn money for her childrens school fees.

In the beginning, the Cambridge Satchel Company only had a capital of G600 and sold about 3 bags every week. The small school bag, however, later caught the attention of an influential fashion blogger, who promoted the bag enthusiastically.
