"年節到白鯧價格瘋狂漲"

隨著農曆新年即將到來，婆婆媽媽們也開始了年貨的採購。中國人在過年前都會添購許多應景的節慶食材。近年來因為氣候變遷的關係，導致許多水產漁獲的數量逐漸在減少。因此有些魚種的價格，已經飆高到讓人買不下手的地步，「白鯧魚」就是很好的例子。

「年年有餘」對中國人來說是一件再好不過的事了！也因此每到過年時，為了討個吉利，家家戶戶的餐桌上免不了出現「白鯧魚」這道菜。但根據調查，目前全國部份魚市平均批發魚價，都比去年農曆年漲了5%。白鯧魚的批發價兩週來上漲了一成三，一公斤以上的「大白鯧」每尾價格甚至已經飆到一千五百元。這樣的價格，真的是讓許多採買的家庭主婦望魚卻步呀！

有鑑於「白鯧魚」的價格讓人還沒年年有餘就元氣大傷了，因此漁業署也推薦了幾款魚種，讓大家做為過年討個吉利替代方案如：金鯧、紅魚、台灣鯛、石斑魚等養殖魚，都是很實惠的選擇喔。

(Life) Price of Silver Pomfret Skyrockets as Chinese New Year Approaches

The Chinese New Year is fast approaching and many housewives have started shopping for the items they need for the new year. Chinese people usually buy a range of ingredients that are associated with the occasion beforehand. However, due to the climate change, the amount of fish caught has slowly decreased over recent years. As a result, the price of some types of fish has skyrocketed to the degree that they have become almost unaffordable, with silver pomfret being one of them.

There is nothing better than having prosperity (pronounced the same way as fish in Mandarin) every year for the Chinese people. And that is why the dish silver pomfret is eaten in every household to wish for good luck during the Chinese New Year. Though, according to a report, the wholesale price of fish in some of the fish markets in Taiwan has increased by 5% on average compared to this time last year. The wholesale price of silver pomfret has increased by 13% in the past two weeks, with the price of one piece of silver pomfret weighing over 1kg reaching a whopping NT$1500. Prices like this have held housewives back from buying.

In regard to the fact that people have to empty out their wallets before becoming prosperous, Taiwans Fisheries Agency has recommended a few types of fish to serve as substitutes for wishing for good luck, including common fish species raised by fish farms like pampano, red snapper, tilapia and grouper, which are all budget choices.
