"中國將西藏自焚事件怪罪於達賴喇嘛"

自焚，或在自己身上點火的行為，在中國越來越多了。從2011年起已有70名藏人這麼做，上週就有七起案例回報。這些人覺得這是抗議中國對西藏統治、並吸引世界關注的唯一方式。

目前，中國政府表示他們尊重西藏的宗教權利和自由。北京相信西藏的領袖們，像是達賴喇嘛，必須為鼓勵他們的追隨者自焚一事負責。中國外交部發言人洪磊補充表示：「達賴不僅沒有譴責他們，他還頌揚這樣的行為……。」

目前住在印度的達賴喇嘛表示，他們反對任何形式的暴力，並評論道中國卻專注於把責任推卸到他身上，卻不去了解這些痛苦、且在多數案例中致命的行為背後的原因。

(Local) China Blames Dalai Lama for Tibet Immolations

Self-immolations, or the act of setting oneself on fire, are on the rise in China. 70 Tibetans have done this so far since 2011 and seven cases were just reported last week. These individuals feel like this was the only way for them to protest Chinas rule of Tibet and to attract the worlds attention to this issue.

At the present time, the Chinese government says that they respect Tibets religious rights and freedom. Beijing believes that Tibetan leaders, like the Dalai Lama, are the ones responsible for encouraging their followers to burn themselves up. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman, Hong Lei, added that Not only did the Dalai not condemn them, but he actually glorified these acts...

The Dalai Lama, who is currently living in India, says that they are against any forms of violence and comments that China is concentrating on putting the blame on him and not on trying to understand the reason behind these painful and, in most cases, deadly acts.
