"李英愛可能不續演《大長今》續集"

喬瑟夫：我知道續集不會又以皇宮廚房當場景，但我希望它還是會有烹飪傳統韓式料理的橋段。少了這個會差很多的。

凱蒂：我記得每次有烹飪戲份就會覺得好餓。它還讓我想去上韓式烹飪的課呢。

喬瑟夫：別說了。整整三個月的時間整個家聞起來都是韓式泡菜的味道。

凱蒂：你是在抱怨嗎？我煮給你吃你就要覺得很幸運了。我想我這個週末要來《大長今》馬拉松，把每一集再來看一遍。

(Entertainment) Lee Young Ae May Not Be in Jewel in the Palace Sequel

Jewel in the Palace is a 2005 Korean drama series which is considered by many to be partly responsible for the Korean wave. It was loved by fans in 87 countries and grossed $40 million worldwide. Due to its wild success, MBC recently announced plans to shoot a sequel but lead actress, Lee Young Ae, who played Jang-geum, has already expressed doubts that she will be part of it. She said that she is more interested in doing high quality work and wasnt sure that the sequel will on par with the original. Jewel in the Palace is loosely based on the true story of an orphan who became the first female physician in the Joseon dynasty.

(Jewel in the Palace Sequel) Joseph and Katy are a couple. Katy was watching a Korean entertainment news show when Joseph walked by and glanced at the television screen. Lets listen to their conversation.

Joseph: Wait a minute, isnt that a clip from that Korean show you were addicted to years ago?

Katy: Yes, they said MBC is going to do a Jewel in the Palace sequel. Itll be exciting to see all my favorite characters again. Jang-geum and Jeong-hos love story is so romantic!

Joseph: Uhh... I think the news reporter just said that Lee Young Ae might not be joining the cast in the sequel.

Katy: Really? Thats too bad. She did such a good job playing Jang-geum on the soap opera. It will be hard to find a replacement for her.

Joseph: I know the sequel wont be taking place in the palace kitchens but I hope that the show will still feature the characters cooking traditional Korean dishes. It wont be the same without it.

Katy: I remember getting hungry every time there was a cooking scene. It even inspired me to take Korean cooking lessons.

Joseph: Dont remind me. The house smelled like Kimchi for 3 straight months.

Katy: Are you complaining? Youre lucky that I even cook for you. I think Im going to do a Jewel in the Palace marathon this weekend and watch all the episodes again.
