"北京大學錄取學生制度受到批評"

中國的北京大學在錄取學生時偏愛本地學生，備受社會關注，最近上了頭條。

中國的大專院校偏好錄取本地學生一直以來都是熱門話題，學生如果想上其他省份的學校往往會遭遇錄取上的困難。

22歲的程帥帥就是一個例子，他最近在北京大學外拿著一個寫著「北京人大學」的牌匾請願。據報22歲的程同學用這塊招牌吸引北京大學，和其他不怎麼歡迎來自鄉村地區學生的機構注意。

部落客和網民都為程同學的小型抗議鼓掌叫好，但是政府的反應則不太好。程同學被帶往警察局拘留並訊問了七小時，之後則被送回他位於河南省中部的故鄉。

程同學作為學生權益的積極提倡者已經好一陣子了，並曾和高中生與其他人一起發起好幾次類似的「表演」，喚起大家對此情況的意識，包括寄了一籃鴨梨到教育部。「鴨梨」在中文裡發音和「壓力」很像──這也是在中國教育部改變不公平制度之前，程同學希望加諸於教育部的東西。

(Local) Peking Universitys Recruitment Practices Criticized

Chinas Peking University made headlines recently when it came under scrutiny for its preference for local students in regard to admissions.

Chinas preference for regionalism in colleges and universities has been a hot topic for a while now, as students seeking to attend college or university outside of their own region often have difficulty being accepted.

Such is the case with Cheng Shuaishuai, 22, who recently petitioned outside Pekings University with a plaque that read Beijingers University. Cheng, 22, reportedly used the sign to draw attention to both Peking University and other institutions that are less-than-welcoming to students who come from rural areas.

Chengs mini-demonstration was applauded over the internet by bloggers and netizens, but was not so well received by the government. Cheng was taken into police custody and questioned for seven hours, after which he was escorted back to his hometown in central Henan province.

Cheng has been an active advocate for students rights for some time now, and has teamed up with high school students and others for several other such performances to raise awareness of the situation, including sending a basket of pears to the Ministry of Education. The word for pear in Chinese translates similarly to pressure V something Cheng hopes to put on the education system until it changes its unfair practices.
