"貓咪如何和你說話"

對話範例：

(貓語) Sandy和Adam是一對情侶。Sandy正看著他們的兩隻貓並且發現牠們似乎用尾巴在說話。我們來聽聽看他們的對話吧。

Sandy:你有注意過貓咪擺動尾巴的方式嗎？

Adam：有時候。很像是牠們用尾巴來聊天。

Sandy：有時候這些動作十分地微妙。我注意到如果牠們的尾巴來來回回緩慢地揮舞著，通常準備要突擊某物。但如果牠們快速的來回擺動尾巴，表示牠們生氣了。

(Life) How Cats Talk To You

Have you ever wondered what your cat was saying to you? Like dogs, cats also communicate with us using their tails, but the signals are much more varied than our canine partners, since cats have more flexibility in their back ends. For example, have you ever noticed how proud a cat looks when it walks with its tail up high in the air? A high tail signals confidence, and a little twitch as the cat looks at you shows lots of love. If the cats tail is bent around like a question mark, the cat is feeling playful, and would love to frolic with you for a few minutes. But a stiff, puffed-up tail? The cat is very frightened and is trying to look bigger to scare its foe away.

Dialogue Example:

(Cat Communication) Sandy and Adam are a couple. Sandy is looking at their two cats and notices how they seem to talk with their tails. Lets listen to their conversation.

Sandy: Have you ever noticed the way cats move their tails

Adam: Sometimes. Its like they talk to each other with their tails.

Sandy: Sometimes the movements are really subtle. I noticed that if their tails swish back and forth slowly, they are usually ready to pounce on something. But if they whip them back and forth quickly, theyre angry.

Adam: Ive also noticed how they puff up their tails when theyre scared. Remember when our neighbor brought his dog over

Sandy: Yes, I do! They were terrified! After the dog had been here a few minutes, they put their tails down really low, like they were trying to hide in the floor.

Adam: Except the white one. After an hour or so, he was twitching the tip of his tail, which he usually does when hes curious about something.

Sandy: True. And he actually tried to play with the dog! I remember he wrapped his tail around him like he was giving him a hug.

Adam: Wow, our cats really do communicate more than I thought. I should pay more attention!
