"未來頭戴裝置能將影像直接發送至眼裡"

Glyph頭戴裝置聽起來像是科幻電影中的產物，預計今年發行，據稱能夠將影像如影片、視訊電話和甚至是電玩遊戲直接發送到你的眼球中。

在上個月舉行的募集資金宣傳會造成極大回響後，位於密西根的Avegant將會製造出Glyph頭戴裝置。Avegant的執行長Edward Tang表示：「我們知道我們的東西很酷，也知道我們會在募集資金會上表現很好，但是沒人想到我們會在四小時以內達成我們的目標。」

Glyph的原理是由兩百萬個極小的鏡子反射影像進入眼裡。3D影像也不無可能，而且這個耳機能夠接上幾乎所有有螢幕的裝置，包括智慧型手機、筆電、電視和電視遊樂器，而電池續航三小時上下。這款頭戴裝置有雙重功能：它能夠用作高階耳機，不用視覺功能時能夠戴在頭頂；而使用者將頭帶翻下來就能變成眼罩並使用影像的功能。

Avegant也稱Glyph將會除去眼睛疲勞，由於大多眼睛疲勞都是由螢幕發出的像素光造成，而Glyph則沒有螢幕，它的光線則模擬了實際的光源。

In what sounds like something from a science fiction movie, Glyph headset, due to be released this year, claims to beam video such as movies, video calls and even video games directly into your eyeballs.

Michigan-based Avegant will create the Glyph headset after a Kickstarter campaign launched last month created a whirlwind response. According to Avegant CEO Edward Tang, We knew we had something really cool and that wed do well on Kickstarter, but nobody thought wed reach our goal in less than four hours.

Glyph is powered by two million microscopic mirrors that reflect visuals into the eye. 3D images are also possible, and the headset can plug into almost anything with a screen, including smartphones, laptops, TVs and gaming consoles, and has a battery life of approximately 3 hours. The headset doubles as a pair of high-end headphones and can be worn on top of the head when not in visual use, with the user flipping the band over their head to make it an eyepiece.

Avegant also claims that Glyph will eliminate eye strain, as most eye strain is caused by the pixelated light of a screen, whereas Glyph has no screen and the light mimics that of actual light.
