Amazon.com has been in the middle of a firestorm after posting a childrens book written by Charles Matthew Kembo (using the pen name J.D. Bauer), a man who is a convicted serial killer and had been found guilty of 4 murders, for which he is currently in prison.The outcry is coming from parents groups who are horrified about the true past of the popular books author, and believe Amazon should remove the book from its listings.Amazon contends, however, that it is only responsible for the content of the material it sells, not the character of the producers, and the book itself does not condone violence in any way, nor does it mention anything about Kembos case.

Mia: Oh, my god!

Jerome:What is it

Mia: You know that book we just bought for our daughter? The author is in jail for killing four people!

Jerome: Really? Thats crazy!

Mia: I cant believe the company we bought it from would carry anything by someone like that.

Jerome: Well, its not their responsibility to pass judgment on the authors of books. They just need to make sure the content is appropriate.

Mia: I see your point. But its still really creepy.

Jerome: Well, if you like, we can throw it out and go buy another one.
