Cary:
Miranda:
Cary:
Miranda:
(Life) Pet-Centered Homes Catching On In Japan
If you have a pet, you may understand how they can seem to take over your life, not to mention your home. In Japan, designers are taking our love of pets and running with it, designing homes with plenty of features with our four-legged friends comfort in mind. From a huge scratching post, to bed-lined shelving, to a very special catwalk, one home in Japan (which houses 16 cats!) has become a felines purrrfect paradise. Dont forget the doghouses, however. Multiple pet doors, low windows, ventilation for hair removal, and odor-resistant everything are cropping up in home designs that make you wonder who the house is really for: the humans, or the dogs?
Dialogue Example:
(Pet House)Cary and Miranda are a couple. Cary is complaining about Mirandas cat. Lets listen to their conversation.
Cary: Hey! Get out of here!
Miranda: Whats wrong
Cary: That silly cat of yours keeps knocking things off the bookshelf. He almost killed me with a dictionary!
Miranda: Well, cats like to climb on things. Maybe you should move your books somewhere else.
Cary: Thats ridiculous. A bookshelf is for books. Youd think this was HIS apartment, not ours.
Miranda: You know, there are home designers that are making homes that center around pets. Maybe we can have someone come and make shelves and paths just for the cat.
Cary: No way. Im not redesigning this apartment just for your cat.
Miranda: Well, then youre going to have to keep dodging falling books.
