社運人士接二連三地出事，造成網友指控國民黨策劃了這些事件，作為剷除異己的手段。

在黑色島國青年陣線發言人魏揚在新竹市騎機車時被車撞了、造成他左髖關節骨折之後，對社運人士安全的憂慮最近引起了媒體的疑慮。魏揚強烈反對海峽兩岸服貿協議。同一天，台灣農村陣線發言人蔡培慧在苗栗過馬路時被車撞。蔡培慧因此事造成顱骨骨折、顱內出血。兩事件都被拿來跟民進黨的前總統陳水扁夫人之前的事件相比，她在1985年時被張榮財開卡車反覆輾過，讓她下半身癱瘓。

(Local) Activists Accidents Spur Allegations of Foul Play

Accidents and other incidents involving activists have caused netizens to accuse the Chinese Nationalist Party (KMT) of illustrating the incidents as a means of eliminating dissidents.

Concerns over activists safety recently drew media concern after Wei Yang, spokesman on the Black Island Nation Youth Front, was hit by a car while riding his motorcycle in Hsinchu City, causing a fracture to his left hip. Wei has strongly opposed the cross-strait service accord. On the same day, Frida Tsai, Taiwan Rural Front secretary-general, was hit by a car while crossing the road in Miaoli. Tsai suffered a skull fracture and brain hemorrhage in the incident. Both incidents have been compared to a previous incident involving the wife of former president Chen Shui-bian of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), who was left paralyzed from the waist down after having been repeatedly run over by a truck driven by Chang Jung-tsai in 1985.

President Ma Ying-jeou, who is also the KMT Chairman, has faced public scrutiny over a series of issues within the past year. The death of corporal Hung Chung-chiu, the forced demolition of houses in Miaoli Countys Dapu Borough, the controversial cross-strait service trade agreement and the Fourth Nuclear Power Plant in the Gongliao District of New Taipei City have all called attention to his decision making abilities.
