"中信金成兄弟象的贊助商"

儘管所有媒體都在臆測，但這間金融服務商澄清他們將不會買下這支隊伍。

中國信託金控最近宣布將不會買下兄弟象，而是成為贊助商。由於規定的關係，金融服務商被禁止投資非金融的企業。因此，這國內資產第三大的金融服務商表示他們將單純成為財務贊助商，這樣他們就能夠利用棒球活動來宣傳他們企業的形象，而不會違反投資禁令。

同時，中信金也表示有一間與他們有關的娛樂公司將會代替他們買下兄弟象，並負責管理該支棒球隊伍。

原先預期兄弟象會賣給麗寶集團。然而，在這房地產開發商想要將球隊移至公司大本營的大台中都會區時，該交易隨之告吹，因球隊董事長堅持隊伍留在台北以確保台灣首都有支專業棒球隊。

(Sport) CTBC to Act as Brother Elephants Sponsor

In spite of all the media speculations, the financial service provider has clarified that it will not be purchasing the team.

CTBC Financial Holding Co has recently announced that it will not be acquiring the Brother Elephants team, but rather act as a sponsor. Due to regulations, financial service providers are prohibited from investing in non-financial firms. For this reason, the countrys third-largest financial service provider by assets says it will simply be a financial sponsor so that it can use baseball events to promote its corporate image without violating the investment ban.

In the meantime, CTBC Financial has also stated that an amusement company linked to them will be purchasing the Elephants instead, and will take charge of managing the baseball club.

It was originally expected that the Elephants would be sold to the Lih Pao Group. However, the deal fell through for the real-estate developer wanted to move the ballclub to Greater Taichung where it is based, while chairman of the team insisted that it stayed in Taipei to ensure that the countrys capital had a pro baseball team.
