"新iPad Air和視網膜iPad Mini亮相"

新的平板電腦iPad Air已經公開了，比前一代薄了20%，厚度7.5公釐、長度9.7吋，據稱是市面上最輕的完整大小平板，且和蘋果iPhone 5S一樣使用A7晶片。iPad Mini的新版本「視網膜版iPad Mini」特色是有2048 x 1536的像素，且解析度增加。

Mac操作系統的最新版本Mavericks也將免費提供給已經在使用2009年之後推出的OSX操作系統的電腦所有者，這是這間公司第一次Mac操作系統重大升級卻不收費。

蘋果的行動媒體分析師傑克肯特表示：「iOS裝置經由蘋果的應用程式商店產生的營收是Android裝置經由Google play產生營收的三至四倍。」他並闡釋道：「蘋果目前提供了更豐富多元且針對平板的內容，但明顯地這也是Google想做到的。」根據顧能公司指出，蘋果的iOS操作系統平板占了2012年平板出貨量的53.9%。

這產品發表會也公開了娛樂和工作用的應用程式，但和許多人先前猜測的不同，蘋果沒有推出新的Apple TV機上盒。

A new tablet called iPad Air has been revealed that is 20% thinner than the previous version at 7.5mm thick and 9.7in long, claiming to be the lightest full-sized tablet on the market and uses the same A7 chip as the Apple 5S iPhone. A new version of the iPad Mini, the Retina iPad Mini, features 2048 by 1536 pixels and has increased resolution.

The latest version of the Mac operating system, Mavericks, will also be offered at no cost to computer owners already running any version of OS X released since 2009, making it the first time the company has not charged for a major Mac OS upgrade.

Jack Kent, the firms mobile media analyst, stated An iOS device generates around three to four times as much app revenue through Apples App Store as an Android device through Google play. He elaborated by stating, Apple has so far offered a more compelling range of tablet-specific content, but Google is clearly looking to address this. According to Gartner, Apples iOS operating system accounted for 53.9% of all tablets shipped in 2012.

The product launch also revealed apps for leisure and productivity, but did not, as many had speculated, show off a new TV set-top box.
